– Shannan Martin

我的博客已在中提及 纽约时报 和 my home featured in books, catalogs, 和 on various popular websites. Everything appeared Pinterest的 perfect; that is until all of the tidy corners of my life came untucked. With the announcement of my parents’ unexpected divorce, my strong cords of security unraveled, my ideals of “home” shattered, 和 my roots were uprooted, all while living in my childhood home. Lost at home, I wandered through loss, anxiety, grief, 和 pain—this is where Beauty found me.

If we are missing today’s gifts of goodness 和 beauty, then chances are we will miss tomorrow’s too.

The cotton candy colored sky during the cold winter presents a custom painted canvas of hope. The roaring ocean reminds us of God’s power, which is still at work. The gap-toothed grin caught between the cheeks of your child, the floral pattern on your hand-me-down dinner plates, the aroma of coffee after a sleepless night—these grand

This book is my journey. My story of finding 和 being found by beauty. I’m certain you will laugh (out loud), cry, 和 hopefully catch yourself whispering, “me too.” I’ve written the book as a series of essays accompanied with beautiful photographs, illustrations, design tips 和 practical advice for creating a place of beauty 和 belonging no matter where you live or what you’re going through.

“Trina’s soul is not unlike her innate design sense. It’s deep 和 searching, forever shifting to make room, to carve space, to find a new purpose for it all – the hardship 和 shiplap, the mundane 和 the mirror, the strife 和 the sofa. What a beautiful gift it is to witness such transformations in her living room 和 living heart.”

—Erin Loechner, Founder of DesignforMankind.com 和 Author of Chasing Slow

读这个,你’ll be encouraged 和 spurred on, inspired 和 ignited to find the lovely around you AND equipped to add to it. I can’t suggest it enough!

—Jess Connolly, speaker 和 author of Wild 和 Free 和 Dance Stand Run

“Trina McNeilly views the unswept corners of life through the persistent gaze of beauty 和 the outcome is contagious. With the eye of a designer, the soul of a poet, 和 the compassion of a daughter deeply loved by God, 天娜 helps us bring order to our hearts along with our living rooms. Fun, warm, 和 vulnerable to the core, I devoured this book.”
